Our aim is to glorify God by making mature disciples of Jesus here in Bothwell and beyond. We aspire to proclaim the message of the bible clearly and competently. We are convinced that when the bible speaks – God speaks! We believe this is the most important aspect about our life together as a church. And it is through the proclamation of the bible that God grows the church and makes it fruitful.
Our church has had a long-standing presence in the village of Bothwell for almost 140 years. We were previously known as Bothwell Evangelical Church, (or going back further still, Asher Hall). The church was established towards the end of the 19th Century and it has occupied the present building since 1906. Today, we aim to maintain the same witness to the Christian faith as our founding members within the context of the 21st century. And our building provides an excellent resource and location to hold out the word of life to our community.
In November 2020, Richard Gamble joined the church and serves as our Pastor. Although the last few years have been marked by uncertainty we are thankful that this new chapter in the life of the church has witnessed gospel growth and by God’s grace we plan for this momentum to keep building in the years to come. The leadership often summarise the core priorities in the life of the church as: Preaching, Prayer, People & Patience. We are affiliated to the West of Scotland Gospel Partnership. This is a partnership of churches that are united in preaching and standing for the truth of the Christian faith in the West of Scotland.
